An chat with Mr.Malaysia 2006

My friend Nazri who is the current Mr.Selangor won the recent Mr . Malaysia 2006 event held in Tanjung Bungah , Penang . Nazri is such a bloody nice guy who has the best physique in Malaysia . Literally babes ! I met him at my local gym to congratulate him while `trying ' to work out . My pain hasn 't healed yet so I couldn 't lift weights yet that day , argh did it hurt bad !. Being the free guy that I was , and being the new Mr . Malaysia that he is , I did a short interview ( freaking short here , dam lazy ) with him for the sake of doing it . I took a pen at his desk and got an A4 paper that was lying around and tadaa !

-Mr.Malaysia 2006 , NAZRI !

By the way , Nazrie speaks perfect English...

So Naz , the most important question , are you single ?

Haha , I just found a new girlfriend . We just got together when I was dieting for Mr.Malaysia 2006 . My pals introduced her to me . I 'm really `malas ' to find a girl myself  these days after the last break up.

Babi Naz ! Got new GF also never tell me ! So I'm suppose to inteview you about health and fitness for university students . What do you think about fitness as a part of a student 's life ?

Well , I used to work at a gym just beside Monash and students were flocking the gym after classes . Franchise gyms are starting to make their way in Malaysia like Celeb Fitness and Fitness First . The students usually stop COLD during exam months but take care of their physique the rest of the semester. Their main reason of exercise is to attract the opposite sex , I 'm being plain bold about this , they told me themselves. Look at USA , almost all the highscool and college students there have set foot on a gym comparitively to Malaysia where some have no idea how to use weights . Students here don't go to a gym to exercise but to look good in front of the opposite sex .Especially guys ....thats what 's my understanding for students these days .

Whateva man . So what do you think about diet from a Malaysian standpoint ?

Bro , I thought you should know this yourself ? You write what you want la ?

Eh , people won 't listen to me la . You got title I got what ? fitness cert that tak boleh pakai wan . You just give your comments la , make it simple .

Okok , I'll keep it simple. A LOOT and I mean a hell lot of students think by jogging and small exercise , while eating every food there is on the planet , they 'll be fit no matter what . BULLSHIT ! You are what you EAT ! A few basic pointers for a lean fit body even without exercise is :

1)EAT at constant time . If you take dinner at 7pm today , take it at the same time tomorrow . I' ll screw up your metabolisme if you don ' t

2)Eat clean healthy food . When you go to a hawker and see fried oilcy chicken , fried eggs , fried squid ....etc , like most economy rice sellers sell , opt for chicken breast and boiled eggs instead . Take rice moderately , because RICE is a big factor of obesity these days .

3)Cut the soft drinks man , you 've got to jog for about 20 minutes to burn a can of coke . Drink water instead , and if you really want some flavour , drink fresh (NO SUGAR please ! ) fruit juice or the new H20 drink by 7 UP which has no calories . I have no idea how did they invent that drink but it 's a good alternative to soft drinks .

4)Eat after every 3 hours to maintain to body 's metabolisme . I don 't know how you do it for yourself but I cook my own food so it's easy .

Thats about it about dieting . I 'm sure if you follow this few steps and change your eating habit for a month you 'll see spectacular effects taking place .

Well , it does take some tuning to get out of rice for Malaysian 's you know ? I took some time also to get use to the habit of not taking rice as a staple . Anyways for the eating after every 3 hours part , I carry a box of Marigold Low Fat Milk and a green apple in my bag . If I don 't have time to stop by the cafeteria at a 3 hour interval , I' ll just munch on that . Besides , the cafeteria sells shit in my UNI .

Well , thats a good idea . The milk gives you protein and the fruit carbs . I suggest for students concentrate more on lean protein like boiled eggs and chicken breast if they wana slim and tone down . bringing in more carbs into your diet (especially the processed ones like rice & bread ) will only increase your waist line . Now you know why so many males have breast these days .........

What about exercise then ? What do you recommend for a busy schedule of the life of a university student ?

We 'll keep it really simple ,

1)Do cardiovascular activities for about 20 minutes on alternate days . I'm not talking about walking the park here , I'm talking about running ,swimming , or jogging at a rate you know you 're pushing yourself .

2)You MUST use weights if you want to sculpt your body ! If you 're a big PEAR the only thing that will happen to you by doing cardio is changing into a smaller pear . You 'll never be an orange or apple .I hope you get what I 'm saying here . ( I was like huh ? ) . 1 day cadio , 1 day weights . Get some free weights and get a guide . Well david here is a good one ! Haha . Invest in about RM100 and get some weights in your apartment . Go to a gym for a week or two and learn the basics then you can do it back home . I 'm recommending this because I heard the nearest gym from your UNI is 20 minutes away .

Yeah man , it is . I try to go there at least twice a week . Well , I 'm sure getting tired already talking crap with you about basic fitness ....SO anyways , what drives you to keep fit ?
My health man & seriously it 's my job . No kidding .

Imgp0159

Before I end , what do begginers who want to get into fitness do wrong ?

1)Carry too much weights at the beggining

2)Don 't have a proper diet

3)Don 't have a goal and lose interest after a month . Have a great goal that 'll push you like the one you had last time ( I shall not mention my goal here ) , be it proving someone wrong , winning someone back or just prolonging your life and boosting your confidence by a ton . Getting fit has no setbacks whatsoever .

Any last words ?
Majulah Sukan untuk Negara !

What d hell ????............
