Restaurant Review : Cafe Cafe KL
I planned an outing of 10 friends to Cafe Cafe yesterday . I've heard a lot of good things about this restaurant and have been recommended by MARK to go check the place out . I managed to get 5 boys and girls to go down (no , not all were couples ), have fun , and try out what 's so facinating about Cafe Cafe .
Before I start , first of all if you don 't know where the hell the place is , you can never find it .2ndly , if you do know the place , it's still going to be a hard time finding it ! Cafe cafe is like a hidden secret of K.L . having no signboards whatsoever in front of the restaurant and camouflouged in TOTAL BLACK on the outside , you can never spot this restaurant from the outside . Their website has a good map on their location and I highly recommend that you use it . Look for ` BSN ' and walk towards the corner , you 'll find it there .
-You can visit their website at www.cafecafekl.com
Anyway , the ambience for the restaurant is simply marvelous . I've been to many restaurants but this has got to be one of the most romantic restaurant I've been too . A huge tip here , if you're bringing a girl on for a first date , bring her here . It 's like being in Paris ....literally . The lighting is dim , candle 's , flowers ..it's a simple classic atmosphere . You can see some of the pictures at their website . Anyway , the 10 of us arrived at about 9p.m and ordered our food right away .
-Girls and boys just wanna have fun .
I started off my dish with butter prawns and DAMN was it some of the juices Prawns I've ever tasted . Cooked just right to perfection . This was one of the best prawn dishes I've tasted in a while .
-Prawn Starter . Highly Recommended !
I also tasted Choi 's and Joey 's Escargo . The scene was so freaking funny because Choi din 't know how to use the clippers properly to open the escargos and had to ask the waiter to help him . Anyway , Choi gave me to taste one of the escargos and it was delicious .I have nothing to compare it too but trust me when i say `I never knew snails tasted this good ' .
-Snails anyone ?
-Choi and Joey
-Julian and his date
-Josh and Diane
-Jeremy and Jesslyn
For the main course , I had lamb shank that costed suprisingly cheap at RM36 . It was not bad and I got to try Diane 's Salmon whom Jeremy and Diane says is simply delicious . I also tried Yen Chi 's pasta that had a very unique taste . I forgot it 's name but it was one of the nicest pasta that I've tasted ...and friend , I've been to tooooo many Italian restaurants , so when I say that it's good , it really is good.
For desert I got a dish called HOT CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH VANILLA ICE CREAM . The dish is a mixture of Hot chocolate with ice-cream . I was never a big fan of deserts because of my fitness activities but this was just heavenly . If you drop by Cafe Cafe , remember to order this . The mixture of Hot and Cold was simply a fusion made in chocolate land . Just take a look at how the dish was set up:
-Choco Heaven.simply beautiful
The service in the restaurant was very good . The waiters were warm and friendly and recommeded the right food in the menu . Yen Chi accidently spilled her ice-lemon tea during dinner and they were very fast in clearing the table up .
As for the pricing , I 'd say go to Cafe Cafe if you have an occasion to celebrate . It 's certainly not one of the cheapest restaurants, there is in K.L , but for the ambience , service and food , I 'd definitely say that it 's worth it . I 'd estimate RM80 per person for an appetizer , main course and desert . So if you bring your date along , it' ll probably cost about RM160 for the whole meal .

Conclusion :
Service : 8/10
Food : 8.5/10
Price : RM80 for a full meal .
Ambience : 9/10
Location : 10/10 , you won 't bump into your exs , parents
etc.. in this place . Hidden from the unwanted .
