Restaurant Review:Mantra
Mantra is a South Indian restaurant located at the 7th floor of Sunway Piramid . Mantra (a Sanscrit word ) acctually means magic in modern English . I've been to Mantra quite a number of times in my life ( many many times in fact ) and it has to be the BEST Indian restaurant I've been in my life .
On first stepping into the restaurant , you will be welcomed with waterfalls by the side . Everybody I brought to Mantra mentioned about how elegant and classy this restaurant was ....and it really is!
I highly recommend this restaurant for DATES because of it's ambience . It really has a romantic `feel' to it . You can even ask for a candle light dinner and have a segment for you vacanted for privacy . Ask for Mr.Bala the manager and said David recommended you . If you do go for dinner , ask for the seats at the windows . It has a beautiful view overlooking the whole of Sunway . Plus that with candles ........walaaa.
-Simply beautiful , what an elegant feel.
Now, let me be honest here . I was never a big fan of South Indian delicacies but the food here is freaking delicious . EVERYBODY I brought here said so , so there is nothing wrong with my taste buds . My friend Melvin at www.m3lvin.org even licked his bowl ......sorry Melvin ,but you really did that .
Mantra serves many types of South Indian Delicacies but some of the dishes you have to try are these :
a)Butter Chicken
b)Lamb Rangoli
c)Palanak Paneer
Everybody that I brought , even my parents for the matter of fact thought that the Butter Chicken was the nicest thing they've tasted in a long long time . The food here is a class of their own .
On the service , the waitresses here are the friendliest bunch ever . They serve you well and after going there a number of times, I'm sure you would have made good friends with the staff . The manager also helps out in delivering the food and make sure the guest are happy .
-Just look at the ambience,simply beautiful
If you do have any special request like wanting to do a proposal here or have a special event you don 't know where to have at , call me and I'll arrange it for you at Mantra and get you a good price . It really does have my highest recommendation . Mantra also just hosted the recent Hong Kong TVB award' s artist .
The food here is great , the ambience is majestic , the staff are friendly and ya did I mention that the food here is GREAT?
Okok,so you might be asking about the price now .Ladies and gentleman ,suprisingly as it sounds , the price here is very reasonable . For RM40
per person , you can eat to your hearts content . Trust me on this , even I can 't believe it sometimes . A normal meal would cost you around RM35 ( normal here meaning an appetizer , main course & desert )

Go to the elevator,press 7th floor ....it's on the same floor as Starbucks .Go to KFC and Mac Donald's side (the side facing Sunway Lagoon).If everything else fails , go to the reception .
