The PIG , The Magician and The Tupai
You may have not have realised it from the title of the post, but this is actually a restaurant review . Before I start off , I 'd like to make it clear that this post isn't for Muslims as it involves the consumtion of `PORK ' ...If you still want to continue on , don't say I never warn you ...
Now as for the real review , located at a little corner at Jalan Changkat Bukit Bintang is where a little restaurant called EL CERDO is located . People who pass by the streets won't notice it , if they have not heard of what EL CERDO really means ...EL CERDO literally translated into modern English , simply means `THE PIG' . Yes ladies and gentleman , a restaurant named `THE PIG ' right in the center of Kuala Lumpur.
EL CERDOR is a restaurant that serves PORK delicacy ..well PURELY PORK delicacy . Now as I have stated earlier , I only review restaurants that I think are worthy to review ...EL CERDOR fits this bill right on .
...Today is my half year anniversary with my TUPAI . As she always refers to me as the PIG , I thought I'd give her a little taste of her own medicine and bring her to a restaurant which proudly calls itself `THE PIG '...ironic isn't it ?
Well, lets first of all go about the ambience of the restaurant ...To be honest EL CERDO isn't and will never be the most romantic place to bring a date , but it has a really cosy warm feel atmosphere in the restaurant . The restaurant , has a friendly family vibe towards it . Although it doesn' t really uphold a romantic theme , I don't see any wrong in bringing your date there ( IF SHE EATS PORK!).

Now , as for the service , when My Tupai and I walked into the restaurant , we were immediately greeted by the staff and chef himself . EL CERDO can be regarded , in my humble opinion as having one of the best CUSTOMER SERVICE compared to any other restaurant that I've been too . The staff was uber friendly , the chef gave an honest opinion on the dishes and EVEN ASKED US NOT TO ORDER TOO MUCH ...Now , it was raining when we wanted to go back after our meal . EL CERDO even provided us with a valet to drive my car right in front of the restaurant to pick us up . WHICH RESTAURANT DOES THAT?

As for the food , I sampled the Macaroni with HAM and Tomato , The Shoulder Steak and The RUM RAISIN PANCAKE . All the dishes were simply delicious and I will definitely recommend the Shoulder STEAK ....Now , the restaurant also provided us with complimentary cocktails and also complimentary soups to go by ...When you get to EL CERDO , YOU HAVE to try the RUM RAISIN PANCAKE . It's THAT GOOD! The restaurant owner's wife chatted with us during our meal and said that her husband made the pan cake exactly the same way for the QUEEN OF ENGLAND during her trip to Germany ...A pancake fit for a queen ...It can never compared to Waffle World's waffle's ! .

The price was a little steep and I'll put it at RM50++ per person , if you were to dine there ...but hey , how many times do I celebrate my half year anniversary?The service and the quality of the food justifies the price of the restaurant . To prove that , EL CERDO was FULL during our visit there, a weekday!!(thursday) . Some customers had to be turned down because they had not make reservations earlier .( I made reservations 2 days in advance )

As for the parking , you can park at Radius hotel which is at the right side of EL CERDO .The parking fee is RM3.00 . For those of you who are not familiar with the area , here is the simplest instructions I can type to direct you there.
Go to Jalan Bukit Bintang . Go straight until you pass Royale Bintang Hotel . Make a right turn , go straight , take the second right , go straight until you reach a hotel called ALEXIS GENESIS HOTEL . EL CERDO is at the opposite of the hotel (look a little front and you'll see it). Hope this helps .

you can call that place changkat bukit bintang or jalan alor also ... or you can say its the same road as frangipani ... or near the deutsche house ...
